    Abstract

    In present article from the point of view of law, on the basis of the legal doctrine, works of lawyers-conflictologysts, the international and national Russian legal system various approaches to definition of a concept and essence of the ethnic and religious conflict are considered. During work on the present article some problems of theoretical character were revealed. Thus, now there is no legal definition of the ethnic and religious conflict, both in international and in Russian law. Besides, in conclusion of work as authors own definition of the religious conflict is offered.
